Ann Curry
Ann Curry is an American photographer and journalist. She has been reporting for more than 45 years, focusing on human suffering in war zones and natural disasters. Curry has covered the conflict zones of Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo and the Central African Republic. Ann Curry (born on November 19th, 1956 in Agana) is an American TV anchor, reporter as well as a journalist. She was most famous for her work as a reporter on the Today Show, a daily morning news program that was broadcast by National Broadcasting Co. Curry was known for her work on reporting the humanitarian crisis in war-ravaged countries as well as on natural catastrophes. Curry's mom is Japanese and her father was another American Naval Sailor. She met her mother while working with their father during Japan after World War II. Because of her father's military service, the family moved quite a bit. They finally moved to Ashland Oregon where Curry attended the high school. Curry graduated from the University of Oregon awarded her a bachelor of arts in journalism. It is possible that she acquired an empathy-based communication style because of her experiences with different cultures throughout her life. Ashland is where she completed the high school. She began a career that led to a lucrative career by working as an intern at broadcasting station KTVL Channel 10 Medford. The first female news reporter at the station at the age of 22. Later, she became an anchor/reporter for KGW in Portland Oregon. Then, four years later, she relocated in Los Angeles and became a reporter at KCBS TV. She received 2 Emmy Awards during the six years that she worked for this station.
